The Prayer of the Children

Can you hear the prayer of the children?
On bended knee, in the shadow of an unknown room?
Empty eyes with no more tears to cry
Turning Heavenward toward the light
Crying, "Jesus, help me
To see the morning light of one more day
But if I should die before I wake,
I pray my soul to take

Can you feel the hearts of the children
Aching for home, for something of their very own
Reaching hands with nothing to hold on to
But hope for a better day
Crying, "Jesus, help me
To feel the love again, in my own land
But if unknown roads lead away from home
Give me loving arms, away from harm

Can you hear the voice of the children
Softly pleading for silence in their shattered world
Angry guns preach a gospel full of hate
Blood of the innocent on their hands
Crying, "Jesus, help me
To feel the sun again upon my face
For when darkness clears, I know you're near
Bringing peace again

Can you hear the prayer of the children?

We are singing this for Madrigals and I am so happy! I love this song so much. It always touches me.

So they say I'm growing up.

One word.
COLLEGE.
wait, what?
excuse me?
No more, "What are you going to be when you grow up?"
Now it's.."What are you going to do with your life?"

When I walk the halls at Timpview,
I still think i'm that 14 year old girl.
Who's a freshman, and looked up to all the seniors.
Time FLIES! Holy cow.
Reality Check. This is my last year at homeee.
I'll be on my own in a couple of months, taking some hard classes, and working.
But WHERE? where do I go? I'm so lost.
BYU? hmm.. yes? no? will I get in even?
BYU Hawaii??
UVU?
Somewhere else??
HELP.
please oh please.

It's such a weird experience, taking all this in. I'm almost done. DONE.
ahh man. I'm excited. I'm nervous. I'm scared. I'm lost.
But I'm not alone. ever. :)

It's so extremely hard trying to live in the moment.
"Enjoy Senior year, it goes fast!"
Well i'm preparing for college at the moment,
and that will be the first half of senior year.

Come what may! and love it. enjoy it. soak it up.

Homecoming!

Homecoming was a blast! I had so much fun, and Nate was such a great date! For our day date we hiked Stewart Falls and had a bbq at Ryan's and Christian's cabin up in Sundance. We went to P.F. Changs for dinner (soo yummy! I ate way too much. haha) danced it up at the dance and then Nate took me home. I also took the ACT that SAME MORNING. Stressful and eventful day! but fun :) hopefully I get a good score! Here's a picture of me before Nate came.. Thank you SO much Kylee Matson for letting me borrow this BEAUTIFUL dress. :)
